Capitol Conversations

Each year, the Capitol Square Foundation hosts a prominent national speaker to lecture at the Ohio Statehouse. The event helps raise funds to increase public awareness of all that happens at the Ohio Statehouse and the critical role our citizenry plays in our government.

Recent speakers have included author and historian David McCullough, author and historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, and columnist and author David Brooks.

“A Conversation with Doris Kearns Goodwin”

Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the Ohio Statehouse
5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Join us for an exclusive evening with world-renowned presidential historian, public speaker, and Pulitzer Prize-winning, New York Times #1 best selling author Doris Kearns Goodwin.

Her eighth book, An Unfinished Love Story: A Personal History of the 1960s, was published in April 2024. This voyage of remembrance of her life with her late husband, Dick Goodwin, results in unexpected discoveries and the renewal of old dreams, reviving the hope that the youth of today will carry forward this unfinished love story with America.
